Day 3 Corfu

Today we arrived in Corfu and we have a full day here and we don’t leave until 9pm tonight, Lorna had arranged a private E-Bike tour today and the representative was even going to meet us at the cruise terminal, now this was quite a big deal as today is a huge holiday all across Greece and they had agreed to send someone to meet us and take us all around Corfu town.
So we got off at about 10:30am and sure enough there was a guy George waiting with a name sign. We had to drive a short distance to a car park to pick up the bikes, Lorna had given all our details Height/Weight etc. so the bikes were all there ready for us, although there was a battery missing off of Lorna’s bike so we had to wait a little bit for that to turn up. So in no time we were all cycling down the road towards Corfu town, now as mentioned today is a major holiday so the streets and side streets were very busy with locals enjoying the day off and festivities but it meant for some fancy manoeuvres on the bikes as not all of us had bells to warn off the twats right in front of us. The town is really beautiful and with so may little side streets it was the best way to see the town, now the tour was meant to be around 2.5 hours but in fact we were out a lot longer with George who had great local knowledge, he took us to some amazing places you simply could no find unless you knew about them, so we were all so happy to have seen so much in the time. At some point we were getting hungry so we asked George if he could find us somewhere to have a snack, we pulled up by a restaurant down a alley but we were not feeling it so asked to be close to the sea or somewhere with a actual view, we noticed he was recognised by the restaurant staff so maybe he gets a little hand-back for bringing us but we were not staying instead we ended up is a very pretty restaurant on the side of the sea where locals were swimming and a fucking really annoying dog was barking at everything, but soon calmed down or I think me and JJ woulds have drowned the fucker. Anyway we had. a shared late lunch and really enjoys the views, until it was time to head back, the sun was setting fast and we did in fact spend the last few minutes riding back in Dusk light which was a bit cooler. George got us safely back to the cruise terminal and we bid our farewells and headed up to the bar for a sneaking drink. We were all feeling a little tired me especially as last night I really hit the rum hard and was ready for a easy on tonight. But I wasn’t sure if that possible, we all got ready for the evening as we were eating in the main restaurant but a few of us were feeling like a gentle one was in order despite Bill stating he was ready to stay up until at least midnight. Eventually after our evening meal we all agreed that a nightcap in Bills room would be enough so we took our remaining drinks back to 408 his room for a last drink, it wasn’t late but we expected we were pissing off the neighbours but either way we stopped for one and then I left to go back to the room with Lorna trailing behind me some 30 minutes later. So Corfu was a lovely place that we would all like to re visit.
